Ascend Treatment Programs for Children and Adolescents

Overview of Child & Adolescent Programs

If your child has recently received an ASD diagnosis, you’re likely looking for the best possible care. At Ascend ABA, we offer targeted treatment plans that encourage learning, growth, and independence in each of the children in our care.

Evidence-based treatment from experienced Board Certified Behavior Analysts and Registered Behavior Technicians ensures that our clients and their families achieve their goals. In a warm, collaborative environment, we’re able to offer support for not only our clients but their families and caregivers as well.

What You’ll Find in Ascend ABA's Treatment Programs for Children & Adolescents

ABA therapy is at the heart of all of our treatment programs. Decades of research have demonstrated ABA’s effectiveness in helping those with autism spectrum disorder and related diagnoses reach their social and behavioral goals.

ABA therapy is based on principles of learning and is used to help our team understand and improve specific behaviors that may interfere with accessing educational, social, or recreational opportunities. At Ascend, we’re uniquely equipped to support children and adolescents who engage in complex, challenging behaviors, which might include:

Self-injurious behavior (SIB)

  • Aggression
  • Property destruction
  • Elopement
  • Pica

Each of our clients receives a comprehensive assessment, including a functional behavioral assessment, or FBA, at the start of our program. For clients who need additional assessment, such as a functional analysis, our team has the experience to manage more complex behaviors or implement modifications to more common assessment procedures to help determine why those behaviors occur.

After the assessment is completed, our team will work to create individualized treatment plans that address socially-significant goals across multiple domains. Our treatment plans often include components to help our clients master a variety of social, communication, self-help, academic, and coping skills, in addition to reducing problematic behaviors that may interfere with learning opportunities. And since your child’s needs will change as they grow, we’re able to adapt and grow with them, partnering with your child as they reach adolescence and adulthood.
